Marathon Training - 7th Week Review

Marathon Training - 7th Week Review

December 14, 2020

Amazing 7th week of training, facing the goal of running my first Marathon.

The best of the week... I pushed a little bit more my long run on Saturday to make a half Marathon, even though for the training schedule it should be on week 8. Anyway, this is the 2nd time I run that much in my life. The first time I ran a half marathon was a decade ago, with 1:59:59 and this week I was able to cut it and set my PR to 1:54:51 shaving more than 5 minutes.

Thank you Hal Higdon, I started this process with your Novice 1 program, and through the process so many improvements!

For week 8 we have another half marathon on Saturday, looking into the same timing. I have to say I was a little bit worried on how things were going to be, but I felt great with the feeling that I could have pushed it a little bit more. But following Hal's advice and book, start slow, take it easy, learn to read your body has been my motto during this time.

You may have been thinking now that I forgot about the socks post... nope, it is ready. Just a couple of tweaks to publish it.

Keep tuned and thank you for your support.

Thank you!
